Walking into Summer Fun

Wonderful new....Landen is walking again and has officially been walking for one week!  He was walking again since his sprain healed up....he walked for about 10 days and then we went swimming over Memorial Day weekend (we had been told that swimming would help to build up his leg muscles be several people, some of them doctors)  and day and half later he stopped walking completely. His leg that had been broken was turning slightly purplish for a couple minutes at a time several times a day.  So, we headed back to the doctor and he said that Landen had probably just overworked those leg muscles (they are still weak) and needed to let them rest.  Mind you, he started back walking around lunchtime the day of his check-up that was at 3:45 in the afternoon...little stinker!  Anyway he has been walking ever since and gets a little faster and steadier every day. The doctor thinks that the occasional  blue/purple color is just from his leg being in a cast for so long.  He thinks that his vascular/circulatory system just needs time to return to normal.  And I must admit, the color-change has been happening less often.  We are SO thankful that this whole fiasco may be almost fully over!

   The last day of  school for Ethan was May 16th. Landen has really enjoyed having his brother home all day so far.  Sure the argue  alot  but they are also very sweet with each other at times.  Landen looks up to Ethan so much!

Summer has exhausted Landen....he is asleep with his face on hardwood !!!

Ethan has been  attending baseball camp in BG this week so Landen and I have had two hours to burn each day while waiting.  On Tuesday, we hit up McDonald's new indoor playground and we had the whole place to ourselves for an entire hour! 

On the way home, after picking Ethan up, the boys wanted to stop to play and of course, get ice cream at Chaney's.  We had a fun afternoon there!
