Landen Turns Five

So on Landen's actual birthday, we celebrated with a family dinner and cupcakes at Shogun (his absolute favorite restaurant)...

Landen loves Shogun so much that he practices being a hibachi chef at home. He has a hibachi grill set and he will bang his spatula on the grill and make the train noise like they do at Shogun, ha!

Since Landen's birthday is so close to Christmas (12/28) and everyone is still either celebrating with family or recovering, we waited a couple of weeks to have his party.

We celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese (in the middle of flu season might I add) with a TMNT themed party! Even though I was very wary of this party venue due to the fact that we get sick every single time we go there, the party turned out great! So great in fact, Landen has his heart set on the exact same party next year (let's hope he changes his mind...shhh!... fingers crossed). And I'm happy to report that luckily we didn't come down with any kind of sickness in the weeks following, yay!

Landen really enjoyed the games. This is his "Take it quick Mom, I'm busy!" half smile.

The bigger "boys" enjoyed the games too.

He LOVED his cake!

Chuck E. is his new BFF.

And his 5 year old's dreams were realized in the ticket blaster!

Oh, and he was thrilled about his presents too!!

Can't believe that this...

...sweet baby boy is now FIVE years old! What joy he has brought to us in those precious five years!!!! We love you Landen Tate!
