Christmas 2011

Reading the note that Santa left

Posing with his new Lego City space station
What was Santa thinking bringing this HUGE R/C Shark?
It's what the boy asked for, I guess.

Ethan was quite excited over Dolphin Tale!

If only he knew to turn...he runs into everything on this, ha!

Landen LOVES Max & Ruby...
And he was rather fond of his Diego vehicle too.

Getting help from Uncle Derek
Landen doesn't look too excited here but he had so much fun.  This was Uncle Derek & Aunt Amanda's first Christmas being married!

One of Landen's favorite toy's of the day was his Elefun Ball Popper from Derek & Amanda....look at it blowing his hair, lol!
We truly had such a magical Christmas.  Ethan is at that fun age where he understands the concept of Santa and leaving him a snack to find a thank-you note the next morning.  And this year, Landen was old enough to open his own presents (for the most part) and get really excited about them.  We are so thankful to be able to celebrate our Savior's birth with family that we love.  Just as we are thankful to our Savior for blessing us with these precious boys who remind us to enjoy the spirit of Christmas.  Ethan is still talking about buying and wrapping the items on a little boy's list from the Angel Tree.  He says "We were able to get everything on his list so I'm sure he had a wonderful Christmas!"  We couldn't be more proud of his giving & loving heart.

And of course Landen enjoyed the party as well!

Ethan,
We can't believe that you just turned 7 years old!  You are growing into such a smart, witty, strong-willed, funny, inquisitive, loving little man.  It is such a blessing to watch you grow, change, and learn.  We look back at videos of you as a singing/dancing 2 year old and cannot believe that you are the sweet, TALL, intelligent first grader that stands before us.  I can barely hold you in my lap anymore and Lord knows that it is ALL I can do to carry you.  We are so proud of you and the wonderful son that you are.  We hope you had a wonderful 7th birthday party Angry Birds style with all of your friends and family!  We love you Ethan Grant and thank God every day that he gave us you.

A Summary of Fall in Pictures

I would like to say that something radical happened and has kept me from keeping the boy's blog updated but I can't. I feel so guilty because at the end of the year I take this blog and make it into a scrapbook for the boys to have to look back on and it as been 4 MONTHS since I have written on here.  So, I am just going to post many pictures to show the events and fun of Fall 2011 and promise to try and do better from here on out!
